About the Founder
Art Aurelia was founded by Marta Grigorieva, an art historian, curator, and painter.
Her work bridges academic art historical knowledge with contemporary artistic practice and international art market experience.
Having worked with major auction houses and galleries, she advises collectors and creates bespoke artworks that combine craftsmanship, cultural depth, and refined aesthetics.
Marta Grigorieva, a Harvard-educated art historian, Italian Renaissance specialist, Academician, an Honorary member of the Academy of Fine Arts, built her expertise through years at Christie’s and Sotheby’s in New York, as well as through her training in portraiture with the legendary Nelson Shanks. Marta's career as a figurative painter— shaped by Italian traditions and commissions for portraits and landscapes — provides the foundation for Art Aurelia’s distinctive approach.
